I could not find proper guidelines on how to be a Rightist Radical and so I decided to fix that. I have compiled a list introducing 12+1 rules of political activism for Right-Wing dissidents. Why 12+1? The last one is a secret rule that along with much of the content stays behind a paywall ;)
Think forward, not backward
Many rightists fail at the first rule, they are too burdened by what has been, which hinders their thinking outside of the box. They focus their attention on undermining what is, as opposed to thinking of what will be. Once an innovation has dissipated across the market, you can’t undo it, you can only invent something new yourself, and if that something you have invented is successful - the market will equilibrate towards your favor.
All rightist victories in the past, were forward thinking, Fascism, Libertarianism, the Tech-Right or a broader form of rightist-progressivism were or are novel and addictive ideas in their time, offering compelling visions of the future. These ideas are compelling enough to attract those who stand to benefit from their adoption. In contrast, ideas that fail to offer such incentives struggle to inspire widespread adoption.
Do people really expect to have a serious cost and benefit analysis discussion of returning to monarchy or regulating the internet? No. An idea that is being promoted must have a Hegelian undertone, it must be novel, appear inevitable and coherent to the broader logic of history which always tilts towards progress.
Whatever you are offering, it must be better than what already is. Your goal is not to reverse history but make it tilt our way, and the only way to do that is to innovate and overcome the environment.
And remember, you must not desire to simply grab power or defeat the left, but to elevate the polity to a higher level.
Have your power level match up with your abilities.
What does that mean? Your words must match your actual abilities. Unfortunately, the space is rife with LARPers and trolls who promote extreme measures that blatantly violate TOS who then become surprised when they inevitably become censored and removed. Typically such people would be in the category who have been banned multiple times already and are on their seventh burner account. If you’re advocating for Fascism or similar belief systems without having a fascist state backing you, your words and actions will be used to justify further marginalization of you and your side.
The fascy power reversal fantasies that are often flying around among the ranks of the Dissident Right are typically espoused by highly marginalized people. Those who can’t back their beliefs with any power. At the best case scenario, they would be ignored or banned, but at the worst, the regime will use them as an example to further marginalize the rest of us.
And even if you’re a committed fascist or any other authoritarian which does not want to reconsider changing their ideology, you can reveal your power levels only once your strong enough to do so.
For as long as you remain on the victimized side of the debate you must support free-speech and other rights even purely out of self interests. Then when you have grown too powerful to determine what is public decency, public decency would begin to work in your favour but while you’re small and marginalized, opposing something which will give you security is a bad strategy. More on that can be found on a Substack piece titled “How Can We Make Free Speech Work In Our Favour?”
People change their mind as a result of exposure to new information on the internet. If you look at the Zoomer generation the beliefs about Biorealism and similar rightist concepts is much higher in relation to the Millennial generation. Why? Because, they’ve been exposed to this information on the internet and it was convincing enough. To continue this trend, the internet must remain free.
Don’t allow the enemy to frame you
If you happen to go on Omegle to play a racist White person, take the most BASED positions, deny the historical record, or voluntary accept the labels that the left gives you. Congratulations you’re controlled opposition. Let me explain why:
You see, because the world is so tribalistic, people think of the enemy in poor terms so that they could psychologically justify hating on them. 9/10 times the left would misrepresent your views in a way that makes you look worse than you actually are.
Now, this doesn’t mean that you should say how anti-racist you are, or even not adhering to right-wing to far-right modes of thinking. It means that you should not define yourself by your opposition to the left.
You have an idea to sell, not a group of people you want to piss off. Contrarianism may be fun when you’re 12 or 14, but when you are allowing yourself to be led by your opponent who frames you in the most evil ways, you are playing into their game.
Just as with the previous point, you are making yourself a target, and by extension the entire right. Instead of doing that, make a positive case for your ideology, don’t say how you’re not racist, just simply explain your beliefs and say why you think they are good.
